On behalf of the Port of Houston Authority and the City of Houston, I extend an open invitation and advance welcome to the International Association of Ports and Harbors 2007 Conference in our hometown. It has been three decades since the IAPH conference last met there, and we are excited to have this prestigious conference return.

As Director of Public Affairs for the Port of Houston Authority, the 2007 conference will be even more important for me as I will have the honor of serving as Conference Vice President. It is a great responsibility, and it will be my great pleasure to welcome you in Houston, where we will celebrate with the theme of Anchored by Commitment, Buoyed by Unity. We are planning a conference that will fulfill all of the business objectives of IAPH while also offering the best social amenities of Houston.

The spectacular Hilton Americas – Houston is the host hotel for all of our business meetings as well as lodging for all IAPH executives and delegates. While in Houston, you will tour the facilities of the Port of Houston, including the new Bayport Container and Cruise Terminal, which is currently under construction.
