Experts to Address Security and Risk Management Issues
at Global Ports Conference in Houston
An international “who’s who”
of port security experts will discuss port security
and risk management issues from a global perspective
during the Work Session on May 1 at the 25th IAPH Conference
at Houston’s Hilton Americas Hotel.
Featured presenters are:

The port security and risk management
of man-made and natural disasters are prominent subjects
among world leaders. IAPH is devoting Work Session
II to “Port Security and Risk Management.”
Ndua, who has authored several papers on ports and transportation,
will lead the work session.

Mollema, who has extensive
knowledge of international security policies
and regulations, will discuss supply chain
security. Siewert, Home Depot’s
Director of International Logistics, will make a presentation
on efficiency and security. Kruedewagen,
whose firm is a leader in security systems, will focus
on U.S. Customs and Borders Protection initiatives.

Mitigating natural disaster risks
such as hurricanes will be addressed
by LaGrange, who has managed through
the impact of hurricane Katrina in the U.S., and impacts
of tsunamis/typhoons in the Asia Pacific
will be discussed by Takahashi, who
serves as the Executive Researcher and Director of Tsunami
Research Center at the Port and Airport Research Institute.
